About Us

  • Wearing the wrong clothes for your body shape?
  • Do you have an unusual body shape?
  • Are you simply confused and overwhelmed by the number of garments, stores and choices out there?

At Truly® we believe in helping women feel good about themselves by making sure they get to look great by being given some guidance on making the right choices.

Truly® is powered by the Fashion Filter a unique and complex process that takes into account the whole of your body shape rather than just put you into a category.  Your body shape is then cross referenced with each garment in the database using a set of rules based around perspective, proportion and experience.  The Fashion Filter then rates and ranks each garment specifically for you, Truly helping you find Perfect Clothes.

Testimonials

“I’m so happy to have found this fabulous website.   As a mum to two small children and the owner of some rather bodacious body curves I always find choosing new fashions to suit this frame of mine somewhat of a challenge. I love designer clothes and would like to think that I too can wear what I see in the mags (maybe not the hipster hotpants!).  As a devout watcher of” Trinny and Susanna’s What Not to Wear” and now the new ‘How to Look Good Naked”  the idea that I too could access my own stylist tips for just my body type was pretty exciting.

After entering some pretty hilarious body particulars  I now have my own profile and I really enjoy seeing what lovely new designs will suit me the best, and Truly gets it right on every time. Knowing what to look for and where to look has helped greatly, I only hope to see more designers from some of my favourite stores.  Thanks for an easy to use and fun site”.

“Truly a fantastic site, easy to use, informative and highly entertaining.  I wanted to find skirts/dresses/pants to suit my shape.  Truly came up with more options than I would have found in a day of shopping.  Very happy with the result - A more confident dresser, and more confident to go shopping, knowing that somewhere out there, there are clothes that suit my shape!”

“Sharlene, thank you so much for such an insightful session on Friday – I’ve barely stopped talking about it since!!”

“It’s like an online version of “Trinny and Susannah”

“I feel so empowered now!!  It was actually heaps easier to shop because I knew what to look for, knew what colours to pull out and didn’t get as frustrated in the dressing room.  Not everything I tried worked but it was a lot easier to quickly see why it wasn’t working, learn from it and move on.  I’m sure I’ll get even better with more practice (yikes, the hubby might not want to hear that).  And my wardrobe – wow!  I’ve now got 8 complete outfits all put together and grouped so I can grab and go and know it’s going to work.  I feel more comfortable putting different colours together and I even felt so inspired I went through all my jewelry, threw out the riff raff, paired necklaces with earrings, and put them with the appropriate outfits (I feel so proud of myself).  I actually had heaps of neat pieces but I was always in such a rush that I kept putting the same things on…but now…look out!
Thanks heaps!!!!”

Key Identity

Sharlene Camp – General Manager B Com (hons)

Sharlene CampWith a background in fashion marketing I saw a large number of women who were overwhelmed by the number of clothing choices on offer, coupled with a lack of time or confidence about what garments would suit them.  I knew that certain styles of clothing will only ever suit certain body shapes and figured that there must be a better way of short-cutting the process.

When I got pregnant with my first child it brought with it a sharp reality as all of a sudden my size 10 frame that had been relatively easy to dress was a distant memory.  I realised that shopping for my new figure was more limiting than I had imagined and so the momentum for Truly was realised.

As for my sense of own style – sometimes all my own advice goes out the window, like the day I was in the supermarket and an elderly lady in a wheelchair said “excuse me” – I presumed she was about to ask me to reach something on a top shelf for her, so when she pointed out that when I had picked my son up I had inadvertently tucked my dress into my undies I was most dismayed.
